چکیده
Bioethanol has been developed as an alternative biofuel. Elephant grass is one of the lignocelluloses that can be used a source bioethanol. The bioethanol fermentation process should improved along with its economic competitiveness to promote wider application. This study aims investigate and evaluate best scheme biethanol (standalone) combination by-products through technoeconomic analysis. method collecting data from several previous studies simulating it SuperPro Designer. Structural characterization of the lignin in the cortex and pith of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) stems.
The structure of the lignin in the cortex and pith of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) stems was studied both in situ and in isolated milled "wood" lignins by several analytical methods. The presence of p-coumarate and ferulate in the cortex and pith, as well as in their isolated lignins, was revealed by pyrolysis in the presence of tetramethylammonium hydroxide, and by 2D NMR, and indicat...
متن کاملLipophilic extractives from the cortex and pith of elephant grass ( Pennisetum purpureum Schumach.) stems.
The composition of lipophilic extractives in the cortex and pith of elephant grass ( Pennisetum purpureum Schumach.) stems was thoroughly studied by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The predominant compounds were fatty acids followed by sterols (in free and conjugated forms as esters and glycosides). Other steroid compounds, as steroid hydrocarbons and ketones, were also present. Addition...

BACKGROUND Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach) and Hybrid Pennisetum (Pennisetum americanum × P. purpureum Schumach) are tall, fast-growing perennial C4 bunchgrasses that have been in recent developed as the most appropriate biomass feedstock in many countries for exploring various biofuel products. However, the challenges of increasing plant biomass yield and enhancing their stress ...

Pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) and napier grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach) are the most economically important species in the genus Pennisetum. Knowledge of genetic diversity of these two species would enhance their potentials for utilization. The present work assessed the genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship among Nigerian and Indian accessions of pearl millet an...
متن کاملOpportunities for Napier Grass (Pennisetum purpureum) Improvement Using Molecular Genetics
Napier grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach.) is a fast-growing perennial grass native to Sub-Saharan Africa that is widely grown across the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It is a multipurpose forage crop, primarily used to feed cattle in cut and carry feeding systems. Characterization and diversity studies on a small collection of Napier grasses have identified a moderate level...
